Make sure your business info is up-to-date across all platforms your business is found on. The holiday season is a busy time—make sure your customers have accurate info about your business by updating your online directories. This checklist will help you keep your Google Business Profile (GBP) and other important listings ready for the season.
1. Update holiday hours on all Platforms
Make sure your hours and holiday closures reflect any changes during the holidays. Update all directories, including:
- Google Business Profile (GBP)
- Facebook & Instagram Business Pages
- Bing Places
- Apple Business Listings (on Apple Maps)
- Your website
- Any other places where your customers look for you
2. Write a festive holiday message
Add a warm holiday message on your GBP and other directory listings and highlight any special offers or promotions.
3. Upload a holiday banners, images & headers
Boost visibility by adding a holiday update (Google Post) to your GBP and other key listings. For social media pages, pin your holiday message to the top of your page.
4. Update product or service availability
If you have limited stock or special seasonal products, let customers know. Update this info across your listings to avoid any confusion or missed sales opportunities.
5. Add emergency contact information if appropriate
If your business offers critical services of any kind that may still be needed, even during holiday hours, make sure to have your contact details clearly visible. (TIP – Consider making a QR code for quick scan of contact info)
